Class of 2005

Lenny Reibstein

Years Played:   2001-2005

Positions Played:   Lock

A wise man said of the 2004-2005 Bard rugby team: ÒIf Jacob Grana is the body and Brian Wolf the brain, then Lenny Reibstein is the heart of the team.Ó If not for Lenny, someone far less gifted in the composition of Jesus canÕt play rugby one-liners would have led the team in song to disastrous results. In addition to featuring as a second-row rugby player over his four year career, Lenny refined a craft of inventing song bits that doubled as social and political commentary. His inventions referenced contemporary figures including Osama Bin Laden and events such as the release of Mel GibsonÕs The Passion of the Christ. All will remember LennyÕs good nature, and those who are luckiest will remember his senior art show, which featured among other similar themed paintings a rugby-inspired ÒorgyÓ scene. A tremendous friend, a loyal member of the Bard Rugby Football club, and the holder of the club record for most consecutive boots shot before correctly correcting himself.
