return to alumni page Class of 2006 Alex Weinstein Years Played: 2002-2005 Positions Played: Wing Though Alex might be remembered more for his colorful (red comes to mind) personality, he was an athletic presence in the lineup whose drive to succeed on the field benefited the team on many occasions. Alex scored the first try of the fall 2—4 season by opportunely picking up a loose ball at a breakdown at the halfway line and running untouched to the try line. Though he turned up at practice one day wearing sunglasses and declaring himself, “Shades,” the name went unrecognized. Teammates instead liked “Jew Money”—for his right-wing politics and his dream of investing the club’s money in the market to reap financial gains for the club.
